Pottstown: Wills and Power of Attorney Law Firm

Reading Living Will Lawyer

Only an estate planning lawyer with experience, a talent for detail and commitment to you as a person and family member, should be granted the honor of carrying out your decisions on wills and powers of attorney.

I am Peter J. Dolan, founder of Dolan & Mayerson, PC, and an experienced estate planning lawyer in Pottstown and Reading, Pennsylvania. I am sensitive to your wishes, available to answer any questions and, when it comes to attorney fees, respectful of your ability to pay. My clients have appreciated the cost-efficiency of my law practice over the years.

If you have questions about estate planning, wills and powers of attorney, contact my Reading or Pottstown law firm to arrange an initial consultation with an experienced lawyer. I want you to be able to contribute to estate plans you can be proud of. Call 866-664-8002.

Wills, Powers of Attorney, Advanced Directives

During your initial consultation, we will discuss estate planning options such as:

  • Living wills: While many people are familiar with the term living will, Pennsylvania does not use this document in end-of-life decision-making. Rather, Pennsylvania uses advanced health care directives. Advanced health care directives cover an individual's wishes involving end-of-life health care preferences, such as the desire for or against life-sustaining measures.
  • Powers of attorney: Powers of attorney, such as a durable power of attorney for health care and a medical power of attorney, enable you to appoint someone else to manage important matters when you are incapable of managing them yourself. Medical powers of attorney become effective if you are overcome with a serious illness or mental condition that affects your ability to care for yourself or even communicate or direct your care. Durable powers of attorney make sure that bills are paid and financial decisions can be made, in the event you are ever incapacitated.
  • Medical and HIPAA releases: I am committed to creating comprehensive estate plans that include medical releases and HIPAA releases. Typically, I ensure that these releases are created in connection with medical powers of attorney. Without such documents, doctors are held to strict federal rules and therefore, cannot discuss your health care or treatment with loved ones.

Client-Committed, Detail-Minded, Cost-Effective Representation

My respected, full-service estate planning and estate administration law practice focuses primarily on creating proper documentation for you — paperwork that doesn't lead to guesswork. I never expose my Tri-County Area clients to the possibility of future legal challenges and administrative pitfalls.

Other estate planning and elder law areas in which my Pottstown law office has assisted Tri-County Area clients include:

Your decision to create wills and power of attorney documents or other estate planning instruments directly affects your Pennsylvania family's financial welfare as well as your own health care treatment in the future. I look forward to discussing the details of your estate planning goals during your initial consultation with Dolan & Mayerson, PC.
